The complete peace of Christmas

Merry Christmas! All of our Advent preparation has brought us to this day; Jesus Christ is born!

One thing I love about Christmas day are the special family traditions. One favorite tradition from a friend is centered around the family Nativity scene. The family keeps the baby Jesus hidden away until He is born on Christmas day and added to the manger! I love seeing pictures of Nativity scenes when they are finally complete, when Jesus arrives to the unmatched joy of his mother, Joseph, and all those gathered around the manger.

The birth of Jesus ‘completes’ the Nativity scene and brings with Him a peace that completes each of us. The Peace of Christ we find on Christmas day is all-encompassing – having the privilege to be off of work, gathering with family and friends, having a full belly from all the festivities, and especially celebrating the perfect gift of God’s love in Jesus! This Christmas, let’s be intentional about bringing that peace with us today and throughout the entire Christmas season.
