A life-changing truth

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) I remember hearing for the first time about the love that God has for me. When I realized that God would send His only Son so that I might have eternal life, my entire perspective on life changed. As Christmas approaches, it is easy to become wrapped up in the busyness of the holiday season and forget the essence of what Christmas is all about-the birth of our Savior! No other gift will be as sweet or rich as the gift of Jesus in our lives. Let’s celebrate Jesus’ birthday by reminding ourselves of this great truth, that He loves us.
